Local meetings

With Quakers, the word 'meeting' refers to the chapter of Quakers that you belong to, as well as an actual gathering of people. A local meeting is a bit like a church, and an area meeting is like a parish. Our area meeting is called Manchester & Warrington Area Meeting. Our five local meetings are:

Central Manchester
South Manchester
Sale
Warrington
Eccles

We also have a Yearly Meeting which is for all Quakers in Britain.
